Fuengirola

Fuengirola, on the other hand, is the bustling and vibrant tourist
destination of the holiday brochures. But even here, it can be as noisy
or as quiet as you would like to make it. By day there are miles of
sandy beaches to sunbathe as well as plenty of pavement cafe's and bars
to sit and people watch, and during Siesta you can take in the charm of
the 'old town' or the marina. As well as sunbathing and swimming, there
are facilities for sailing, windsurfing, parasailing, fishing and scuba
diving. Basically, if it can be done in, on or under the water, it can
be done in the waters around Fuengirola! At night Fuengirola really
comes alive, with locals and tourists flocking into the towns many
nightspots and international restaurants.

Mijas
Pueblo

The
village of Mijas is just a short drive up into the hills and is a
typical Andalucian mountain village with narrow, winding streets,
quaint whitewashed cottages and geranium filled window boxes. The
village is famous for it's donkey taxis and commands breathtaking views
of the Costa, especially from the old fortress and gardens. There are
many small craft shops selling leatherwork, pottery and other
traditional items, some interesting churches and monuments and the
village is home to the country's only square bullring. The village is
well worth a visit but parking can be a problem so is best visited in
the evening when the tour coaches have left, and the many steps and
steep inclines could make it unsuitable for the very elderly or
disabled.
Hotel Tamisa Golf

The 4* Hotel
Tamisa Golf is situated beside Mijas Golf Holiday
apartments and is a superb place for wining and
dining. The hotel's Bar Picasso is the
ideal place for a leisurely drink on the terrace or
a delicious snack at any time of the day. Restaurant
"Salvador", is open to non-guests, and caters for
those who enjoy a gourmet meal in a friendly and
elegant atmosphere, serving typical Andalucian food.
